Charna, the owner of iO, is a dedicated dog lover, doing a lot of charity work for animal rights. And her own dogs, Mia (pictured) and Chief, can often be seen around the theater.
In fact, you'll usually see them before you ever see her, like familiars heralding her arrival. "Charna's in the building."

What sweet animals. Such good, gentle, well-socialized dogs.
Going into the theater day after day, you can understand why they're so friendly.
By now I'm sure you can tell I'm being sarcastic. I want to punch those dogs, and I have a good reason to do it!
Chief cut my team last schedule, th' bastard.
And I'm sure everyone has a story of a dog taking the stage during a show in the Del Close Theater, creating a really weird theater moment that is never quite successfully capitalized on.
