On the road. Joe and Shelby's wedding is this weekend in a secluded part of North Carolina. It was either fly, rent a car and drive three hours, or just drive the whole way. We decided to drive the whole way.

Sarah's friends Verni and Mary Beth came along for the ride.

Me: So... wait... where are the hurricanes right now?
Verni: Pretty much where we're going.

This shot was taken during one of the few moments when it wasn't pouring rain (or we weren't eating at a Cracker Barrel).

I recommend stopping at Sonny's Barbeque if you're able. Especially on Thursdays! They have my favorite sweet tea.

Also, as long as you're stopping in Cracker Barrel, pick me up a giant checkerboard or cast-iron puzzle.

if you're really needing a breakfast, i would for SURE stop at waffle house. and then eat at least 10 dollars worth of food. that'll hold you for a couple of days.

You should feel lucky we allowed you to experience the glory that is North Carolina! You are a better person for having been there!
